CAF release 11 nominees for African player of the year award



CAF release 11 nominees for
African player of the year award
- CAF have released names of 11 players
that will fight for the 2017 African
footballer of the year award
- Super Eagles winger Victor Moses is
among the 11 players that will fight for the
award
- They are expected to be trimmed down to
3 before CAF will announce the winner
The Confederation of African Football
(CAF) have released names of 11 African
superstars that will fight for the 2017
African footballer of the year award.
Liverpool attacking duo of Mohamed
Salah and Sadio Mane are among the
names of the 11 African players that
will fight for the award.
Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah
helped his national team to qualify for
the 2018 FIFA World Cup after waiting
for 28 years.
Chelsea and Super Eagles star Victor
Moses also made the list after helping
Nigeria to qualify for the 2018 FIFA
World Cup in Russia.
Moses was superb for Nigeria in their
2018 World Cup qualifiers and only
injury can prevent the former Liverpool
man from going to Russia next year.
Also, CAF released names of 10 players
that will fight for the player of the year
award based in Africa. Nigerian striker
Junior Ajayi who plays for Egyptian club
Al Ahly is among the 10 nominees.
