President Buhari's supporters

President Muhammadu Buhari's loyal
supporters have come under fire from
All Progressives Congress (APC) senator
Shehu Sani.
Senator Sani, who represents Kaduna
Central senatorial district in the upper
house of legislature, tweeted on Sunday,
November 26 that the president's
loyalist are only supporting him because
he is in power.
According to him, when the president is
out of power, the supporters would
desert him.
Though from the same ruling party APC
as the president, Senator Sani has been
known to attack Buhari on matters on
which he found him wanting.
LETSKNOW recalls that the senator
recently got into trouble for accusing
President Buhari of being selective in
his anti-corruption fight.
He popular said on the floor of the
Senate: " Corruption in the Judiciary and
others is treated with insecticide while
corruption in the government (executive)
is treated with deodorant."
Senator Sani's very critical tweet comes
just days after a coalition of Northern
civil society groups announced plans to
organise a one-million-man march in
support of President Muhammadu
Buhari.
The coalition had a meeting in Kaduna
on Thursday, November 23 where it also
declared support for the fight against
corruption of the administration.
It also described the acting Chairman of
the Economic and financial Crimes
commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu as
“ one of the most fiery, fearless and most
daring anti-corruption czar in Africa.”
